Yes, Apple and Book Publishers need a Good Butt Kicking

So for those who haven’t heard, the govt. is suing Apple and other Book Publishers for price fixing e-book.

I support this until someone explains why I can buy a song for a bit over $1 and it costs $20ish for most books that I want to read. When I’m saving the publishers the cost of making a physical book, I expect a good price break on that book and I don’t see that today.

There is some worry that Amazon will take over the book industry if this happens. First does Apple have much room to talk considering its position in the tablet industry? Second, if it happens then we deal with that then, but there has to be ways to build a better mouse trap.

To me, the book industry is trying to protect themselves like the music industry did in the past and the movie industry is trying to do today.
